Sat Nam Jee,

I am 19 and am am studying in the 12th grade. I am, with Waheguru Jee's grace, doing quite well in school. As a result of which people to seek my help at times with their school work. I have a friend who has been regularly seeking my help for the past year or so but she treates me like dirt. When she needs my help she'll even call me in the wee hours of the night. However at other times she'l even ignore me all together, when I walk past her in school and wave she wont acknowldege it, its happened many times . Let me state that i am not attracted to her or anything like that, she is just an ordinary friend. She goes for tuitions and they provide her with lots of worksheets to do, whenever i ask her to get them for me or any such things so that'll it will save me the trouble of searching for them, she'll convinetly forget, after reminding her just the night before going to bed!!Its irritating!! So my question is should i continue to help her or not?? i am confused, sometimes i feel she treates me like dirt, basically she is using me, let her die at other times i feel that Waheguru blessed, as a result I am doing well in school so it is my duty to help those in need of help..

I think you have answered your question yourself. Why dont you actually confront her and tell her that you feel that she uses you and you will not help her anymore ...

Also are you sure because you want her approval you are letting yourself be abused. look inside!

Do the right thing and break the dependency. You will help her too as then she will have to learn to do things herself. In the long run that is abetter lesson for her and for you both.
