Yes, God forgives. But, actually, it is us who forgives ourself. So, it is up to you and your own consciousness as to what you choose for yourself. If you want to get back to your heritage as a Sikh, then do so. Evaluate what it is about your Sikh identity that you relate to and do it. You don't need permission from anyone. Just do it. You may want to talk to a wise person in your Gurdwara as to how to go about doing certain things, maybe you don't need that. The important thing is for you to examine what is important to you and start doing those things. Don't think that you have to change over night. Begin with what feels right for you now, and allow your self to transform as it feels right and comfortable. Then, it will be natural and lasting. If you change everything before you are ready, you could sabbatoge your self. Slow and steady wins the race. Blessings. GTKK
