if you can write back asap that would be great, thanks.
(REPLY) Sat Nam. The mool mantra (sometimes spelled mul mantra) is the fundamental statement presented in divine poetry by Guru Nanak, which sets forth the basics of the Sikh faith, i.e. it starts: Ek Ong Kar: There is one God who created all Creation; SAT NAM, Truth is His name, and then it goes on to enumerate some of the most important qualities of the indescribable Lord. The Mul Mantra is the beginning of Guru Nanak's epic "Bani" (which is recited every morning by Sikhs all over the world) called "Japji Sahib." It also forms the opening lines of the Siri Guru Granth Sahib, the volume of divinely revealed Truth that is the living Guru of all Sikhs. You can find a translation of Japji Sahib on this website.
