Please advise me if it is appropriate to practice the Sudarshan Chakra Kriya during one's menses. I have been practicing the kriya during my own, however, I during this time I pump my abdomen on a much lighter scale. Is this appropriate?
The Sudarshan Chakra Kriya is truly a wonderful meditation that should be experienced by all. Although difficult in the beginning, one should stay with it and persevere, as its benefits are profound.

Sat nam. If you are doing a daily practice and do not wish to break it, then pump VERY lightly (as you said) or not at all for those days. This is especially so for the days when your flow is heaviest. As a rule, Kundalini yoga (breath of fire, heavy navel kriyas) should NOT be practiced during menses, especially the heaviest days. A woman can 'blow out' her navel center by doing too much of this kind of kriya during menses. See how you feel, really, and let your body be your guide.
