Summary of Question:What Does Sikhi Say About Gays And Lesbians?

Hi,

Me and my friend (he's very religious and I'm just starting to learn about it) were talking generally about Sikhi, when the subject of gays came up. I don't really know much of what the Granth Sahib says about it but from what I've read so far I seems like it should be ok. But when I told this to my friend he says I'm wrong and that since I didn't know much about I couldn't make a assumption like that. So I was wondering if you could tell me what it says, and if you could tell me exactly where in the Granth Sahib it says that.
Thanks
Jyoti

The Siri Guru Granth Sahib refers to the five thieves...lust, anger, greed, pride amd attachment. Concern with with any one of these does not let the mind concentrate on their God self. When you love another individual with purity & selflessly, their is no sex involved. When you have a passion for sex outside of your marriage partner, your are driven by your thoughts of passion.
