How do discuss with my family that i dating someone from a different caste and we are thinking about getting married. I come from a family that is very strict with marrying in the same caste......oh by the way I am from a jat and he is from chamar......................confused

Perhaps it is time that you introduced your friend to your family. Let them meet and learn to appreciate this person as you appreciate him. Caste is a thing of the past and has nothing to do with the value of the person.

Believe in the direction of your Guru, Guru Nanak that we do not separate God's creation into highs and lows. We wish well to all.

Be a bridge for your family to the grace and beauty of this man that you have chosen so they can step beyond their limit. God has no limit and no condition.
