Summary of Question:Reply To Ur Responce To Not Eating Flesh

I am an just responding to something you said to another Sikh asking about whether it is right or not to eat meat. In your response you said that it was toxic to consume meat, and that it harmed your bodies chemistry, well I would just like to point out that that is not true as, there are many essential proteins which can only come from the consumption of meat, and if you did not obtain these proteins then you could be putting your body at harm.

Also I would like to say, how would it have been possible for worrier’s defending our right to freedom in the time of the Gurus, to not eat meat, as that is how they would have obtained the essential proteins to build mussel and become strong enough to fight for our freedom, from the Mogul oppression. After all I don’t think they had protein shakes and mussel building powders back then.

(REPLY) Sat Nam. Sorry, but you are not correct. Protein is available in many other forms besides flesh. There was a group of people called HUNZAS who lived very long healthy lives, and they were total vegetarians. Protein is found in milk, butter, cheese, certain vegetables, such as broccoli, nuts and beans (legumes.) You are misinformed. SP

I hope you don’t find my comments rude, however I do believe that the Sikh faith has been misinterpreted by many Sikhs, in oder to control and manipulate the younger generation.

Please reply, Thank you
