I have one question. other than eating fish and chicken, why do sikhs refrain from eating BEEF.

Dear One:
Sat Siri Akaal. Sikhs who do not eat beef are probably observing the Hindu practice of not eating beef, because in India the cow is sacred and not killed for food.
There are many other posts/replies on this Forum about eating meat or not. Search keywords "meat" or "vegetarian".
