You are very blessed to have such a strong intuition about what is good for you. Your desire to wear your turban with grace and consciousness is a very elevated attitude.
The people of Guru Gobind Singh's time were not quite ready to accept his full message. Guru Gobind Singh said that Khalsa has no gender. So when he gave the Rehit Maryada, he did not exclude women from God consciousness. However, it is taking quite some time for women to claim their place as the graceful and noble beings of God. When we put on the turban we are giving ourselves the imperial majesty that Guru Gobind Singh used to transform the slave into a king.
Guru Gobind SIngh gave us our destiny. However, we women have to claim this destiny by lifting ourselves up to walk as Khalsa, rather than as women and men.
God bless you, SKKK
