i had exactly the same problem when i was your age. the difference with me i did do sports and the worst thing was i had to wear briefs. i tried so hard to cover my legs by bring my socks up as far as it could go. i never told anybody how i felt until i wrote it all down in a diary and felt ready to go show my diary to my head of year. i needed somebody to understand. i was getting fed up of people saying to me "dont you get embarrased with those hairs on your legs?" i would get speechless and deep inside it affected me a lot. anyway, i had the courage to tell my mum who was strict and did not allow me to remove my hairs. she understood and she said she would allow me to wax my legs. ok yes i felt relieved when i had it done but now being 19 years of age, i wish i never touched it. as you grow older, the more you realise that it wasnt that big a deal. now i stopped waxing 3 years ago and i keep wishing that i never touched it because the growth of the hairs have become worse from what it was originally. the stuff that i think of now which i should have done was, say to the teacher that i refuse to wear shorts because it is inappropriate for girls like you to show their legs. you should not have to suffer the way i did. now, i am ashamed because i took the easy way out of it. you are probably wondering what its like to have smooth legs and trust me, its not as glamourous as the ads make it out to be. i mean i reckon you would be a complete freak to have no hairs on your body at all. if its any consolation, sometimes i have to go to a theatre in the hospitals and wear theatre blues.normally the trousers are a bit small and my hairs probably show but i dont care.you would be surprised at the number of english people who dont even touch the hairs on their faces. its simply because they dont give a damn! so dont worry and think yourself lucky youve got a mother who is keeping you on the straight path
