waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh,

my name is abhinandhi kaur, i am 14 years old. i go to a high school in manchester, england. my school is mostly asians, and sikhs. but the thing is they show off thinking they are the best, wearing big khandy gold chains with thick kara's. i don't understand. they shave their legs. cut their hair. then tell me to do it. i've told them no. but they put pressure on me saying you have split ends. on the other side i love guru ji very much and have very understanding friends at the gudwara, i love sikhi. but on the other hand when am not socializing i mess into these people. i don't want to. but i still want them to be my friends.
please help me.
waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh.
love from abhinandhi kaur

Wahe Guru Ji ka Khalsa
Wahe Guru Ji ki Fateh!

Abhinandhi Kaur Ji - People always want you to be just like they are. It makes them feel comfortable, and it make sthem feel that they are right. If someone is your TRUE friend, then they will love you just as you are. They will not pressure you to do things you do not feel are right. If you are not true to yourself and you do things to please others, you will feel empty and unhappy. Trust me - do not compromise your values for benefits. Ever!

You are a leader. You are Guru Ji's beloved daughter. Feel that love in your heart and be strong. You must be the example. Be simple. Be true. It is not shaving your legs and wearing big kara and gold chains that will bring you your true friends.

It is your innocence and purity and the light of your heart that will bring you your true friends!

All love in Divine, .....G
