(REPLY ) Sat Nam. You say "it depends on us" -- so I'm assuming you are a girl? For a wife, good advice is to recite the "SO PURKH" portion of REhiras in addition to doing all your banis every day. The happiest marriage is when both people relate to the Guru as the guide and the solution to all problems -- because human beings inevitably have problems, but if you can communicate, if you have trust between husband and wife, if the wife is wise and doesn't nag at the husband, but shows him respect (and he respects her) then they mutually can solve anything. If you are a female, you might get a lot of information and wisdom from reading the transcripts of lectures that were given by Yogi Bhajan at Khalsa Woman's Training Camps which deal with how to make marriages happy and successful. (Go to 3HO.org to find out more about Womens Camps) The Lavan, the wedding vows written by Guru Ram Das give excellent advice for the foundation of a happy marriage as well. Blessings, SP
