Summary of Question:	What Does The Word "Sikh" Mean?

My boyfriend, who is Catholic, was at his on campus church yesterday when they had the inter-faith service. There were Sikhs there, also, and they talked about Sikhism. The thing is, my boyfriend asked me what "SIkh" means...I know that he knows it, because they probably told him, but I seriously do not know what it means. I do path, and listen to Shabaad, but I dont know what "Sikh" means...can you please inform me? Thank you very much.
