Hello my name is Shaan Singh

I am a proud sikh and i respect and love my culture. But to day i dont know what to belive. In class i was watch the movie that my teacher put on.i was just watching it when a gurl pulled my patka right off my head and it fell on my desk. every one started lafing and i just took my patka and ran to the wash room and put it on. The Teacher gave the gurl detenshon but i didnt think that was not a good punishment so i went to the pricepel and she said that she will deal with it. My mom want to charge the gurl with asault but i dunt know wat to so. im only 14 years old and i need help may u pleez tell me wat i should do.

This is a serious issue. You AND your parents should meet with the principal and explain how bad of a situation this girl started. Detention is probably not enough, a suspension should be given. You and your parents have to tell the principal that someone taking your patka off is like someone pulling someone else's pants down in class. It is that serious. Try get some help from the local gurdwara (i.e., if there are some good civic leaders there who have connections, are lawyers, etc. and can talk well publicly).
