From what you have said, for your emotional and spiritual wellbeing there is no doubt in my mind that you would be better off than with this man who is NEVER going to change. But I don't know what your circumstances are. On the practicle, physical side, can you take care of yourself if you leave your husband. Is he the breadwinner of the family? Not knowing where you live, I don't know if you can file for a divorce and get alimony or half his worth in a settlement. I don't know if you have a job or family support. Without knowing all of these things, it is impossible to comment on what you should do. You need to consider all things. I would not be concerned about your 16 year old son. You are the parent, not him. But, I would be very thoughtful about how I could go about divorcing this man and be provided for myself. If you have a way to support yourself and your children, I'd go for it. You have the rest of your life to look forward to. Good Luck. Write us back on how you are doing. GTKK
