Summary of Question:Is It Ok To Do Path From Pc While Wearing Shoes I.E. At Work Sitting In Chair

S.S.Akal Ji, I understand there is Gurbani and whole SGGS on the web avaiable to download to your PC. Has it been thought that people will download them on to their PCs then do the path while sitting in the chair, wearing shoes and possible without the head covered. Is it left to individual to follow the right way and if yes then what is the proper way to use PC at office to do path, Or am I being too old fashion and going after little things one might think.....Personally, I use PC at work and do my path whenever I can with the shoes on while sitting in the chair. I wear turben so that part should be ok...Although, I always felt kind of guilty by doing this with the shoes on..Also should we treat the PC any differently after we have SGGS downloaded on to it....please help...I am waiting for your response....

Yours truly,

Anand,

This is actually a really good question. I think that it totally depends upon the consciousness of the person sitting at the PC. People do all kinds of things in the privacy of their homes. If someone is going to be respectful to the Guru, they will be where ever they are. There is no reason why you can't take your shoes off while reading a hukum on the PC. I also feel that it is great to have the Guru online...to have the Guru in the workplace and accessible. How great to be able to take a hukum in the middle of your day at work...get recharged and inspired and then go back to the business of the day. We have guidelines on how to treat the Guru gracefully. You know them. Ask your self, for you, how do you feel comfortable going to the Guru on your PC? Then do it.
