Since you attached this to all of indiakids, I don't feel like I'm being voyeuristic by reading the "...your help" email -
So is what your trying to say is that you have to be in a sikh community or environment in order to feel the sikhness in yourself -
or that you are a chameleon, willing to adapt to different lifestyles - and that you wouldn't take a risk in moving away from a sikh
community again because you might just might become an average "joe".
I feel that the message sent to sahib is dogmatic in nature. It's a personal issue and the agendas and issues of a society should
not be imposed upon anyone going through these things.
In any culture there is peer pressure and conformity - I don't care if it's mainstream society, a little sikh communtiy all tucked away, or an office, art school, whatever - there's conformity that people either have to face or live with. So, it's up to the individual as to whether they choose to confrom to certain standards....
So, in regards to your very personal message, plese don't feel bad if you get ractions like mine, because after all it was presented in a public forum.......
