Khadur Sahib – this blessed town has the distinction of having been graced by the visit or stay of eight of the ten Sikh Gurus. A colossal eight-story monumental structure epitomizing the unique and valorous Sikh culture is now under construction at Khadur Sahib.

In addition to imparting education about Sikh culture, religion and sangeet, Nishan-e-Sikhi is designed to cater for coaching of the Sikh youth for administrative and professional careers.

In the sphere of sports, Baba Uttam Singh National Academy for Hockey has started functioning for coaching young boys (under 14). The nascent Hockey Academy has started competing with national teams of the caliber of Surjit Hockey Academy.

35 talented boys are selected with the help of Olympians Col Balbir Singh, S. Mukhbain Singh, Col Harcharan Singh, SP Gurmail Singh, S. Pargat Singh and others. In addition to free coaching, these boys are provided free education, boarding and lodging.

With contribution of the sangat and liberal monetary support of Thukral Family of Singapore, Nishan-e-Sikhi is fast approaching completion. Five floors have already been raised.
